About Us

Our Mission has always been rooted in providing residential or commercial architectual designs that please the eye as well as provide functional plans that suit the needs of our client. Our commitment to both design principals is what has lead us to such great success with customers. We continue to push the boundaries of what our staff and clients believe good design means.
  1. The Birth of BluPrint

    1997

Anita Maury and Benjin Johnson both studied Architecture at Cornell University, where they met and fell in love. Both worked at respected firms until the duo decided to break off and do their own freelance work. By 1992, the couple was married and settled into their home, where they set up large drafting tables in their garage to do freelance architect design work. Anita loves designing functional interior spaces while Benjin complimented her talents with his attention to detail in designing exteriors. In May 1997, the two opened the doors of their first official BluPrint Architecure office. A small office space located downtown. The couple focused on luxury single family homes

  2. News of Good Design Travels Fast

    1999

Anita and Benjin started taking on more and more work and within 4 years they came to the consensus they needed help organizing all their projects. In January 1999, they hired their first secretary/project manager. By August, they hired another designer to help take on all the projects rolling in.

  3. Taking on the Commercial World

    2000

Commercial Design was something Anita and Benjin had studied in school, but with the experienced designers they brought on they truly felt they could take on the huge task of designing commercial buildings. The BluPrint group was feeling more comfortable working on various projects. In 2000, the group helped design a hospital and 2 academic buildings. The group continued designing residential projects as well, but began taking on various styles and branching out from their luxury, modern design roots.

  4. BluPrint Architects Design For Themselves

    2005

By branching out into the commerical design world and expanding their skills in the residential design field, Anita and Benjin were taking on more business than ever before. With the sucess, it became abundantly clear the small office they occupied just wouldn't house all the employees they were needing to bring on. This brought forward the fun opportunity for the couple to design a space for their own business.

  5. If You Build It, They Will Come

    2009

As the team grew and got settled into their new space, more and more projects were flowing in. New desks were quickly filled and Benjin lead a new intern program. This program is meant for students who were fresh graduates from the Arch programs but it quickly expanded to current students and even a shadow program for high school students interested in the field. Benjin loved sharing his knowledge and took the program under his wing.

  6. Building Yet Again

    2011

Between the sucessful projects BluPrint was putting out and the interest in being hired by both experienced designers and fresh graduates, the company quickly grew out of the one story building Anita and Benjin designed. It was time to build yet again and this time make it large enough to expand into. This project ended up being the last thing Benjin would design before his death in late 2011. Anita and their son Matt were happy Benjin got to see his dreams come to life in the completion of their second building.

  7. Matt Made Principal

    2015

Matt remembers growing up playing around in the very garage his parents set up their drafting tables when they took on the architecture world. He knew back then he wanted to do the same thing as he set up a card table beside them and scribbled drawings of houses. After Benjins death, Matt stepped up as Principal along side his mother in 2015.

  8. Plans to Expand

    2019-present

BluPrint Architecture continues to impress with their amazing designs and inclusivity of the client. Always striving to mix aesthetics with functionality has proven to be a winning strategy and executed perfectly by BluPrint and the construction companies they work with. BluPrint intends to expand by reaching other communities. As of 2019, BluPrint is in talks to expand to a second and even third location.
